Inspection for quality assurance
The laboratory SQS02 offers a simple and convenient way to make professional micrographs of crimped connections. The analysis of the micrograph is useful to determine if the valid quality criteria are met during production. At fixed checkpoints samples are drawn and the micrographs are analyzed. Checking the quality parameters before and during the production avoids loss through waste and customer complaints.
Precise preparation
The SQS02 laboratory consists of several stations for cutting, grinding, polishing, cleaning, measuring and documenting. The crimped connection can easily be mounted on a holder. After placing the holder on the slide and switching on the motor it can be exactly moved to the cutting wheel and afterwards moved to the grinding disc. The cutting- and grinding speed can be varied via a potentiometer.
Detailed evaluation
After grinding, the cross section is polished, cleaned and placed under the microscope of the optical unit. By means of a color camera, the micrograph is transmitted to a monitor. With special software the micrograph can now be measured, documented and evaluated.
Range of application
The lab SQS02 can be used both in the production department for testing samples and in the quality assurance department for documentation.
