Automated seal assembly for wire processing
Flexible application
For equipping wires with seals in automated cable production, Schäfer offers specialized machines and automation systems. Various types of seals, such as very small seals (mini-seals) and seals with solid material (hard-shell seals), can be processed.
Individual separation
In the Seal Kit, the seals are agitated and brought into the required position through vibrations and air streams. The Kits are individually adjusted by Schäfer for different seal variants, making them quick and easy to reconfigure.
Precise feeding
The Seal Module combined with the Kit transports the seals individually to the assembly process and positions them accurately on the wires. The subsequent crimping process connects the terminal with the wire and additionally secures the seal.

Maximum efficiency
The sealstation from Schäfer is designed for high speeds with maximum precision, making it suitable for operation at manual workstations as well as on fully automated crimping machines. The double-seal module was developed for the simultaneous assembly of two-core cables.
High quality
With optional quality assurance features, assembly processes are monitored and defective items are sorted out. Schäfer’s machines and automation systems can be equipped with sensors and cameras for this purpose.
